Meet the Bishops

Aaron and Lisa met at Millersville University. Aaron was in his junior year and Lisa was a freshman.

Here is the Love story written by Lisa:

Before I went to Millersville University, a friend of mine told me that he knew a guy named Aaron at Millersville University. He told me I should look him up when I get there. One of the first weeks at Millersville there was an Intervarsity Christian Fellowship meeting. I noticed a hot guy chatting with some people, I was not very shy so I went over and we talked a bit and he introduced himself as Aaron. It turned out he was the “Aaron” that my friend had told me about and we talked about our common friend. It also turned out we grew up in the same town, however his immediate family moved to Erie, PA when he was in sixth grade. Aaron would tell you that he was not immediately attracted to me.  However I was instantly taken by Aaron.

Eventually we would hang out more and more. He invited me to the church he attended and we got to know each other better. We both didn’t want to just “date”.   We had marriage as a goal.  So once we agreed to date we felt strongly we were aiming toward marriage.  We got engaged quickly after dating and got married a year after engagement.

We are going to be married 9 years this November and we feel so blessed to have each other. Our journey is just beginning in our minds!
